Delete folders

Select one or multiple folders in the content area in the asset explorer.
Delete the selected folders in one of the following ways:

Via the context menu: Right-click the folder and click "Delete".
Via the featured action: Click the "Delete" action in the action area on the right side of the page.
Via the magic menu: Click the magic button in the action area to open the magic menu and click the "Delete" action.

Information for contributors - Deleting folders with robots

Workroom contributors are not allowed to delete folders when at least one robot is applied. In this case, the "delete" action will be disabled.

A confirmation dialog opens.

Conflicts on folders

Conflicts on folders will be listed in the confirmation dialog for review before deleting. An example for such a conflict is that a robot is applied to a folder.
Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog. The folders are removed from the asset explorer and moved to the trash bin.

Deleting folders with the Workroom robot

If a folder with the Workroom robot is deleted, the folder will also be removed from the Workroom robot. The robot will become inactive if all watched collections or folders are deleted.

Once you deleted your assets or folders, they are moved to the trash bin. To see all objects in the trash bin and restore or delete them permanently:

Click the trash bin button in the lower left corner of the asset explorer.
Once you are in the trash bin, you can see all your deleted assets and folders.

Viewing restrictions

Opening a folder or a asset's detail view is not possible in the trash bin. For these actions, you need to restore the object first.
Select the objects you want to restore or delete permanently and open the context menu. In the context menu you can:

Restore the objects via the "Restore" menu entry.
Delete the objects via the "Permanently delete" menu entry.

The selected objects are either restored to the content area in the asset explorer or deleted permanently.
